It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Pageland and Jefferson.
The “Put Your Money Where Your House Is” Christmas mall is set for 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Pageland Community Center. The Pageland Shopping Mall, sponsored by the Griffridge Foundation, features more than 80 shops and businesses all under one roof for convenient and comfortable shopping.
On Monday, Dec. 6, Tim and Neil Griffin are holding an open house with their display of more than 7,000 Santas. The elaborately decorated house will be featured in the Life In the Carolinas show on WCCB in Charlotte. “The hostesses are going to be former Miss Pagelands — a lot of them,” Tim Griffin said. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under with proceeds going to the Miss Pageland Scholarship Program.
On Saturday, Dec. 11, Pageland’s tree decorating gets under way at 3 p.m. followed by the tree lighting and the Christmas Parade of Lights at 5 p.m.
In Jefferson, judging of Christmas lights and decorations is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and the Christmas Magic Parade is 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. Ruby’s Christmas parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 11. For more details on the events see Page 6.
