Eagle basketballers still in playoff hunt

Central’s Lady Eagles took a damaging blow last week in their hopes of making the state playoffs by suffering region losses on the road at Cheraw and Lee Central.

Tuesday, Jan. 24 the Cheraw Lady Braves held a slim 28-24 advantage at the half, but widened the lead 44-37 after three quarters in route to a 60-48 region 4AA win over the Lady Eagles.
