Eagles slip past AJ and into playoffs

Ending the regular season tied for fourth place in Region 4AA with the Andrew Jackson Volunteers, the Central Eagles basketball team was forced into a one-game playoff to determine the final spot in this week’s state playoff games.

The Eagles and Volunteers squared off Friday night at a neutral site at North Central High School with the Eagles prevailing 69-67 in a thrilling nail-biter.
