Local youths injured in crash near Jefferson

Several area youths and children were injured, some severely in a one-car crash near Jefferson on Tuesday, June 19.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol spokesman Trooper Billy Elder, the accident occurred on Jack Bone Hill Road east of Jefferson near Sand Hills Fire Department.
Details of the accident circumstances were unavailable by press time for this issue of The Progressive Journal, as the trooper investigating the incident has been off duty for a few days and did not return until after our deadline.
Elder did confirm that some of the injured were airlifted to a hospital, but he could not confirm how many or their identities.
