CHESTERFIELD – Mr. James Chappell “Chap” Hurst Sr. 87, died April 21, 2012. A funeral service was held April 24, 2012 at Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw.
Surviving are son J. Chappell Hurst Jr. of Easley; one grandson and sister Betty Hurst Teal of Chesterfield.

PAGELAND – Mrs. Emma Jean Laney Melton, 58, died April 22, 2012 at her home. A funeral service was held April 25, 2012 at Twin Pines Free Will Baptist Church, Jefferson, with burial in the High Point Baptist Church Cemetery, Pageland.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Rev. Johnny Mack Melton of the home; son Chad Melton of Jefferson; daughter Sharon Thompson of Pageland; three grandchildren; mother Bernice Laney Oliver of Pageland; brother Frankie Laney of Jefferson and sister Brenda Cassidy of Cassatt.

SAN DIEGO - Mr. James Roy Myers, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
He was born June 30, 1931 in Pageland and was the son of the late Henry and Edna Myers.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Myers was held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Galilee Baptist Church of Pageland with the Rev. Andy Wells officiating.
Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Rosa Myers; son Jimmy Myers and daughter, Sabrina Myers, all of San Diego; granddaughter Feranda of San Diego; two brothers, Rev. Joe Myers of Rock Hill and L. J. Myers of Lancaster and two sisters, Pauline Mangum of Pageland and Mary Oliver of Lancaster.
Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service was in charge of the arrangements.
CHESTERFIELD – Mrs. Esther Mae Pinkerton Wean, 93, died April 27, 2012 at her home. A funeral service will be held at a later date in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
Surviving are a son, Edward G. Wean of Stewartsville, N.J.; daughter, Katherine E. Anderson of Chesterfield; sister Irma Wieller of Hartwell, Ga.; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildre and 10 great, great grandchildren.
