The Chesterfield County School District recognized 15 National Board Certified (NBC) teachers on Monday Feb. 13. Of the 15, three were local Pageland teachers at Petersburg Primary who have more than 80 years of teaching experience among them and were renewing their certifications.
Deborah Jones, Jane Malcomb and Catherine Phillips were the three who achieved their special goals. According to the organization’s website, NBC is a voluntary advanced teaching credential that goes beyond state licensure.
