Youth music group to perform at fundraiser

CHESCO Services to benefit from Saturday event

Five youths are trying to make a difference in their communities and will be performing at a fundraising event this Saturday, September 15. The Sub Zero Band have been around for three years and have played at Relay for Life in Laurinburg, The 2011 Cheraw Spring Festival, the 2010 Ms. Braves beauty pageant and at a benefit to raise funds for typhoon victim s in the Philippines.

The group is bringing their show to Theater on the Green in Cheraw this Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. to help raise money for CHESCO Services and the Marlboro Board of Disabilities and Special Needs. The event is being presented by the Operations Hope Foundation of the Knights of Columbus at St. Peters and St. Denis Catholic Churches.

The young band is made up of lead singer and guitarist Francis St. Domingo, drummer Raphael St. Domingo, guitarist Justin Larimore, bass guitarist Eric Lloret Jr. and back-up singer and percussionist Joshua St. Domingo.

Special guests for the concert will include keyboardist Emanuel Sarmiento and vocalists Jessica Curran and Laney Curran.
