Obituaries

CHESTERFIELD – Mr. J. L. Roscoe, 80, died March 27, 2011. A funeral service was held  March 31, 2011 at Chesterfield Baptist Church with burial in the Chesterfield Cemetery.
Surviving are, one granddaughter; brothers, Reece Roscoe of Cheraw and Billy Roscoe of Irmo, sisters, Pat Gainey of Cheraw, and Aronica Teal of Chesterfield; half brothers, Johnny Ray Roscoe of Patrick and Ervin Wayne Roscoe of Hamlet, N.C.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, was in charge of the arrangements.

James Gaskins
CHESTERFIELD - Mr. James Monroe “Mick” Gaskins, 68, died Thursday, April 26, 2012.
A funeral service was held Sunday, April 29at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.

T.L. Horton
JEFFERSON – T.L. Horton, 75, died Thursday, April 5, 2012. Born in McBee, he was the son of the late Leonard and Edith Kirkley Horton.
He was a member of Sandhill VFD for more than 25 years. He was a member and deacon of Beauford Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Ruth Blackmon Horton, a daughter, Robin (Scott) Threatt and grandchildren Justin Threatt and Courtney Threatt, all of Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and a daughter, Beth Horton.

William Turner
JEFFERSON – William “Buddy” J. Turner, 73, died March 26, 2012. A funeral service was held March 28, 2012 at Jefferson First Baptist Church with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are Cheryl Turner of the home; son Mark Turner of Pageland; brothers Tom Turner of Hutchenson, Kan. and Belton Rhodes of Woodruff; Sisters, Genell Wood of Woodruff,, Lois Nelson of Laurens and Roberta Hardin of Woodruff, and three grandchildren.
