    JEFFERSON – Alvin J. Terry, 82, died July 14, 2011. A funeral service was held Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Long Branch Baptist Church.
    Surviving are his wife of the home, Joanne Terry; son Keith Terry of  Jefferson; daughter Elizabeth Gulledge of Pageland; brother, Ray Terry of Pageland; sisters, Vernese Kirkley of Jefferson, Iris Plyler  of Pageland; four grandchildren.

  • Obituary - Dominick T. “Charles” Trifiletti

    Florence – Dominick T. “Charles” Trifiletti, 94, a longtime resident of Florence, South Carolina, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Mr. Trifiletti was born August 20, 1916, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., in Westchester County, and was a son of the late Joseph T. Trifiletti and Elizabeth Saverese Trifiletti. He was predeceased by his first wife Alma Bailey Trifiletti of Latta, S.C., and his second wife Laura Lowry Trifiletti of Jefferson.

    PAGELAND – Mr. Barry Louallen, died June 21, 2011 at Carolina Medical Center-Union, Monroe. A funeral service was held June 26, 2011 at Pageland Community Center with burial in the Mt. Harmon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Surviving are sisters,  Elizabeth Ann Allen, Frances Louallen of Pageland;  brother Kenneth Louallen of Pageland; half sisters Carolyn Edwards, Indian Trial N.C. and Cathy McCray of Pageland; godchildren, Dabarrius Crawford, Lancaster and Lamont Thomas III, Pageland.
    Flemming Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    PAGELAND – Ms. Bertha Broome Quick Little, 97, died June 22, 2011. A funeral service was held June 25, 2011 at Sutton-Baumgartner Funeral Home with burial in the GreenLawn Cemetery.
    Surviving are daughter Beth “Shirley” Plyler of Pageland;  son James L. of Charlotte; step-daughter, Wanda Little Hinson of Daytona Beach, Fla., Joy Little of Marshville, N.C., six  grandchildren, four great-grand children and three great-great-grandchildren.

    PAGELAND – Yvonne Deese Smith, 88, died June 20, 2011. A funeral service was held June 23, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
    Surviving are sons, Mickey Smith of Conway, Mike Smith and  Marty Smith both of Pageland; sister Billie Snipes of Lancaster; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

    RUBY – Mrs. Flora Lee Mills, 82, died Sunday, June 19, 2011. A funeral service was held June 22, 2011 at Cross Roads Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
    Surviving are a son, Tommy Lynn Mills of McBee; daughter Patricia Ann Mills of Ruby; seven great grandchildren; sisters Othea Lee Thomas of Kannapolis, N.C. and Betty Lou Rushing of Florida.

    PAGELAND – Mr. James N. Myers, 59, died June 14, 2011. A funeral service was held June 18, 2011 at Lighthouse Baptist Church with burial in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
    Surviving are his children, Heath Myers, Wayne Myers both of Pageland and James G. Myers of Wingate, N.C.; their mother: Rosa Myers of Pageland; brothers Robert, Carson, Jerry, and Ray Myers of Pageland; sisters, Shirley Goodman of Florence, Peggy Taylor, Thelma Deason and Motsy Hendrix all of Pageland and eight grandchildren.

    CHERAW – Mr. Barney Edward “Sly” Driggers, 57, died June 20, 2011. A funeral service was held June 23. 2011 at Cheraw Family Worship Center with burial in the Old St. David’s Cemetery.
    Surviving are his wife, Linda Teal Driggers of the home; sons Clint D. Driggers and Dan C. Driggers of Cheraw; brother Bobby Driggers of Cheraw; father and mother-in-law, John Carlos “Son” and Dorothy “Moss” Teal of Cheraw.
