Teen pregnancy numbers down in state and county

Statistics on the percentage of teenage pregnancies show the trend has been dropping in Chesterfield County and all across South Carolina for the past several years, and while experts are pleased with the numbers, they are still hesitant to declare success.
Forrest Alton of the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, an agency based on Columbia, spoke to the monthly meeting of the Chesterfield County Coordinating Council on Friday, May 11.
