The Jefferson Dixie Youth opened its season with a full day of softball and baseball at the Jefferson Recreation Complex on Saturday, April 16.
Twenty-seven teams competed on all four fields of the complex.
“We have a lot of great players this year and a lot of great coaches,” said organizer Tommy Catoe. “It takes a lot of effort from parents, players, coaches and the community to manage a league of this size every year. We appreciate everyone who participates.”
