The story behind the movie and book, “Hidden Figures,” is personal to me for several reasons.
First of all, I am a woman and a proud African-American. Secondly, I have a cousin, Kim Ennix-Sandhu, who is an aerospace engineer for the Flight Safety and Mission Assurance office at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, Calif.
Before I went to see the movie, another cousin, Dr. Arthelia Brewer, who is formerly of Pageland, told me I should go and see it. I did.
