Central’s Hatcher blue, and grey, in all-star game

By Don Worthington

The official stats for the recent annual Blue-Grey All-American high school football game in Jacksonville, Fla., will list identical attempts for the long snapper on each team:
◆ Four snaps for points after touchdowns.
◆ Three snaps for punts.
◆ Two snaps for field goal attempts.
The roster, however, will list only one long snapper – Central High School’s B.R. Hatcher, No. 25 for the Grey team and No. 71 for the Blue team.
Hatcher found himself in the odd position of playing for both teams in the Jan. 13 game.
