A Jefferson man has been charged with domestic violence of the first degree after allegedly firing a pistol at the victim.
Justice Reece Melton, 30, of the 200 block of Miller Flat Road, Jefferson, was arrested by a Chesterfield County sheriff’s deputy about 11 p.m. on Aug. 2.
According to the sheriff’s office report, Melton and the victim had argued earlier in the evening and Melton had hit the victim several times.
After firing the pistol, Melton allegedly went to bed.
