Six teen girls face charges following a assault at a home off Boyd Evans Road on Nov. 26.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office reports the assault was a fight over a boy, but social media posts by the victim say differently.
The only named released by the Sheriff’s Office was Andrea Joines, 18, of Pageland. She was allegedly assaulted by six girls from Cheraw. A 16-year-old girl  allegedly involved in the assault was a stabbed during the fight. She was taken to the hospital in Monroe, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Four girls, ages 14, 15, 15, and 16, were arrested and turned over the state’s Department of Juvenile Justice. A 17-year-old girl was arrested and was being held at the Chesterfield County Detention Center, officials said.
Deputies are still looking for a 17-year-old girl.
The girls were charged with assault by mob, communicating threats and giving false information to law enforcement.
Joines was not charged.
The Sheriff’s Office is looking for “other folks” in the case, a spokesman said. More charges are possible.
