Pageland’s Jesse Edgeworth has been barbecuing chicken, pork and steaks for almost five decades for family reunions, cook-outs and other family events.  

Sometimes he has helped others in the community with their barbecue needs.

At 82, Edgeworth said he doesn’t do much barbecuing now.  He mainly instructs others on how to do it and recently sat down with Vanessa Brewer-Tyson of the Progresive Journal to share his tips.
