Pageland people turned out last week for a special Veterans Day ceremony to honor military veterans and also to celebrate the new American flags that lined McGregor Street in a spirited salute.

A crowd gathered under a bright blue sky and generous autumn sun at Moore Park downtown to pray, hear speakers, sing the national anthem and “God Bless America,” thank veterans and listen to the names of the veterans past and present honored by the new flags.
